Weight Loss

About 2 months ago, I started to portion control, eat healthier, and exercise in order to lose weight and be a healthier person. In those 2 months, I've lost 12 lbs and met my first mini-goal of losing 10lbs by Lincoln's birthday. Unfortunately, I have not been eating properly nor exercised for about a week and a half. So the results are that I have gained 2 lbs, but earlier this week I decided to get back on track and so far I've lost those 2 lbs. YAY ME!!! Now I have to think of a healthy way to lose another 3 lbs by next Saturday since that is my 2nd mini goal of losing 5lbs by my Rhynan's birthday......*GULP* I'm not sure I'll meet it, but I sure am motivated!!!!

My routine consists of eating 1200 calories (healthier food, not junk food) and working out 6 days a week and resting 1 day. I'm doing Turbo Fire right now, but I am thinking about switching to Chalean Extreme. So hopefully this change will get me to lose those 3 lbs!!!

What do you think, will cardio/toning get me to lose weight faster than weight training/toning? What is your "healthy lifestyle" consist of? What workouts or exercises do you do? Do you go to the gym? For the mama's out there, do you prefer working out at home or at the gym? What works best for you?

Oh and any healthy eating tips would be GREAT!!!

p.s. I have a ticker at the bottom to hold me accountable ahahaha as well as keeping track of my workouts and eating at my fitness pal.

By request of my blogging friend Shahana Style, I am updating this blog....ahahah I've been absent since my birthday weekend!!!! AI-YAI-YAI!!!! That was half a year ago!!!!! I can't believe it's already July and Independence Day has come again!!! Craziness!!

Birthday Weekend Fun!!

This past Saturday, I celebrated my 29th birthday with my closest friends. ^_^ We went out to eat at a buffet Korean BBQ and then went to Sun-O (an asian dessert place). It was fun getting together with my friends and having tons of laughs!! UNFORTUNATELY, I forgot my camera and didn't take pictures!!! >_< *note to self - bring camera to 30th birthday in 2012* Here are the goodies I got from them:

I LOVED ALL MY GIFTS!!!! ^_^ I got a little bit of everything I love! Crafts, makeup, and jewelry!! Along with 2 giftcards!! WOOT WOOT!! So happy I have such wonderful friends that love me and took the time to come hang out with me! ^_^ I love you all so much!!!

On another note, SpiderLily will be making an announcement on the 20th (my actual birthday). Something that I've been working on for a bit. I'm really excited to share the news with you, but I'm waiting a few more days. The 20th will be my birthday and SpiderLily's 1 year anniversary. Yup, it's already been a year!! Can you believe it? ^_^

A Piece of Me: January 2011

Happy New Year everyone!!! How's your 2011 been so far? I hope it has been a great first 3 days of 2011!!! I apologize for my long Holiday hiatus - but it was nice being away from the blog! Thank you for all the Christmas and New Year wishes!

Welps, I haven't participated in the "A Piece of Me" game in like over 6 months! But I'm definitely going to try to do this every month like it's suppose to be.

So for this Month:

I like that I'm going to be 29 in a 17 more days. I'm becoming wiser, more mature, more responsible, and more goal oriented.

I don't like that the holidays are over and I'm back at work 5 days a week. It was nice being at work 2 days a week and have 5 day weekends for 2 weeks in a row.

I want you to know that I'm hoping to re-vamp and "upgrade" SpiderLily to be more user-friendly and easier to navigate.

I've planned to eat healthier and include exercise in my busy schedule - even if it's once a week or once every 2 weeks! Last year - I had ZERO exercise and gained 5 lbs! I am going to stop making excuses and really try to focus on healthier eating (except on special occasions - like my birthday) LOL But definitely, discipline is the key.

I want to say to someone special thank you for being the love of my life, for holding me accountable and being my better half when I don't want to be the better person.

Yes - this will be my last post for 2010!! Can you believe that 2011 will be here in just a few short weeks?! With the holidays coming up and the crazy busy shopping going on, I've decided to make this my last post for the year. We're all busy and I think we can all take a break from blogging. We can resume our blogging craze after the New Year!! ^_^ *teehee*

Here is the 88 palette I purchased for about ~$10 (free shipping worldwide) and my quick review of what I think of it:

The silver color came in kinda shattered on the upper right hand, BUT for the price and no S/H fees - I can deal with it - plus I don't for-see myself using a lot of silver. The brown one that's got a chunk taken out was my fault - I accidentally hit it with the tip of my brush. T_T oh well!

So here's a quick review:
The pigmentation is medium pigmentation. The texture is not chalky and I can wear this for a good 4-8 hrs and the colors are still VERY visible. ^_^ I have never owned a Coastal Scent or Sedona Lace palette - sooooo I cannot do the compare for you.

Pigmentation: 3/5 chickens
Wear time: 4/5 chickens
Price: 5/5 chickens

Would I purchase this item again or a different color palette? yes - it's cause I'm cheap and I can deal with medium pigmentation. LOL

So if you want to go buy this palette or a 120 palette (or other stuff) - you can go to Buy In Coins. I found this site from DanaLaJeunesse a YT beauty guru. She's got some AWESOME looks - which I myself cannot achieve b/c she's just too AMAZING! lol But she did a review on a palette she bought from BIC and uses this palette to do her looks...for some reason - her palette is VERY pigmented vs mine. LOL Maybe she loads up her brush with the color? LOL But yup - that's where you can get it!

Okay moving on to my ELF haul:

I got:
3 Eyeshadow "C" Brushes from the Studio line
1 Complexion brush from the Studio line
1 Angled brush from the Studio line
1 Eyelid primer
2 Blushes from the Studio line
1 Cream Eyeshadow

Quick review:
I love ELF brushes from their Studio line (their regular white ones are NOT very good - do not purchase them). Especially for $3 - they are a very good quality - even after washing them, they are still very soft and work well.

This is my 2nd tube of eyelid primer - that's my main primer if I don't use a cream shadow base. It works really well for a $1 product. Definitely recommend.

The blushes I have a mixed feeling for them, the pink one is called Pink Passion, it's very pigmented. I didn't expect it to be THAT pigmented...Also, my skintone doesn't match PINK blushes, so I only have to do 1 or 2 taps and it matches me really well. ^_^ The tan one is called Peachy Keen. I have to build this one on. It's a VERY VERY natural looking blush and the main reason why I love it! ^_^ It adds just the perfect color for my cheeks and a tad bit of shimmer. (I HEART SHIMMER). That's the bad thing about the blushes - depending on what color you get and your skin tone - you may have to apply more than you'd like.

This is my first cream shadow from ELF - I've used it much more than I thought I would - especially for the everyday look. It's got a bit of a gold shimmer to it as well. It's pretty pigmented and it's got a very creamy consistency. The downfall of this product is that the container is a total LIE!!!! LIES I TELL YOU LIES!!! The container is about the size of my palm, but the amount of product is maybe less than half. *thumbs down* LOL

Seriously? I haven't blogged for like a week, but it feels like 3 mths!!!! I hope you had an AWESOME Thanksgiving - I hope it was blessed with the people you love!

I had an awesome time! I went to SC to go see my in-laws. It was definitely good eating!! We went there for a day and came back that night. The hubs wanted to go Black Friday shopping (which he didn't do) LOL However, I DID!!! LOL Here's what I got:

I also got 2 storage compartments, lots of fabric and yarn. Along with those items, I got some Swarovski gemstones to make some jewelry pieces. The husband just did online shopping - he got Assassin's Creed 3 (WOOT WOOT!!), GT5 (Grand Torismo 5), along with a logitech wheel to use for GT5, and a couple of computer stuff. ^_^ We've never spent so much on Black Friday - ugh....well ever. LOL We treated ourselves this year since we had funds. It was nice.

This year is my 3rd time....so we'll see how it goes. I might have to throw up some elbows!!!!! LOL jk I'm not big on shopping - I actually hate shopping, I'll go shopping only if I need something or want something. I'm not a browser, I'm a go and get type of person. In and out - I don't like to linger.

The only time I enjoy shopping is when I'm online LOL I love online shopping especially for scrapbooking or crafty things!!

Paper Niche

I wanted to share a new crafty site (that is also a physical store) located in Plantation, FL. Surprise Gift

Here is LCTS's Nov 12th sketch and my take on it:

I rotated the base to be vertical, but kept the actual elements in place. This was a fun layout - I originally was going to make a 12x12, but decided on an 8.5x11 ^_^ We took my daughter to the circus for her 3rd bday last year. It was her first time along as my first time at a circus. ^_^

Skin79 Hot Pink Super BB Cream Review

I'm not doing a full review on the Skin79 Hot Pink Super BB cream. Here's my personal thought and how it looked on me. Everyone's skin is different and this product may work on you and not others or vice versa. My review will coincide with Stephanie's review of this BB cream. You can read her 2 second review here.

When you pump the BB cream out, the color of the BB cream has a zombie color to it. When I blend it onto my hand it looked fine, but when I put it on my face, I looked unlively. All I needed was to darken my dark circles under my eyes and I'd have a Zombie halloween makeup look! This BB cream made me look very dead - not gray, but dead. Like there was no blood flowing through my face. It also enhanced the darkness I have around/below my lips. I didn't even use a whole pump...i think a whole pump is too much. Half a pump should be sufficient - but anymore would be overkill.
Adding powdered foundation didn't help any. Oh and coverage is not very good at all.

I give this a 1/5 chickens - the packaging got it's 1 chicken LOL I wouldn't re-purchase this nor would I recommend it. BUT, as I said, it may work differently for you than for me.

Which means - I'm selling this BB cream for $15 (s/h will depend on where you live).

Fall Program

This past Thursday, my children had a Fall program where there would be singing, dancing, and a play all performed by the children who attend the private school. Here's a video of my kids doing "10 Little Indians" and "Monster Boogie". **WARNING: EMBARRASSING MOMMY AND DADDY LAUGHING LOUD** Aeonah is "SORTA" into it, Lincoln is "NOT" into it, and Rhynan is "ALL" into it. A is on your far left, L is on your far right, and R is in the middle.

The "Monster Boogie" has a nice tune to it and it's stuck in my head!!! I hope you enjoyed the video - I APOLOGIZE for such terrible filming!! I was enjoying my little Yang Monsters doing their thing.

Sketch Challenge and Harry Potter!

Let's Capture These Sketches is a sketch blog to help stir some inspiration and give you a boost of creativity. I used to be a sketch designer for them for about a year or so. Moving on to Harry Potter. I'm not a big fan of Harry Potter - I never read the books, but did see the movies on DVD. LOL The movies are pretty entertaining. However, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Harry Potter collection by Creative Imaginations. Just take a look and you'll see why!

I love the colors and the distressing! It's something I definitely would like to get.

Scrappy stuff

WOOHOO!!! Lucky you!! Two posts in one day from me! LOL Just posting to "show off" some scrappy goodness and a few challenges.

First up - I participated in the Your Scrapbook Stash's contest. We had to use any Echo Park collection and create something. I used the "Everybody Loves Christmas" line. I purchased this collection from the Your Scrapbook Stash Store. I highly recommend purchasing from them. This is my 2nd order with them and I am loving everything I get along with the quick shipping! Anywho's - I digress - below are my submissions:

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Apricot Fantasy

I've had this lipstick for about a month now and I am so loving this shimmery peachy nude lipstick. It applies on smooth and even. If I want a more peachy feel then I'll put 2 layers on. However, most of the time I just put on 1 layer and then top it off with my NYC liquid lip shine in pink sand. Moving forward, this is what the lippie looks like:

And here's how the lipstick looks on me:

Pros:
- Shimmery
- The color
- It doesn't wear off too quickly
- Price ($5-$6)

Cons:
- Not very pigmented

I give this lippie a 4.5 out of 5 chickens! I definitely would buy this one again. I want to try a matte nudy too - any suggestions?

Review: Maybelline the Falsies Volum Express

A quick review of what I think of the Maybelline the Falsies Volum Express mascara. The mascara is suppose to give you fuller, thicker lashes with the appearance of having false lashes. So I'll let the picture speak for themselves:

Curled and bare lashes

1 coat

2 coats

3 coats

Pros:
- fuller, thick lashes
- Great price ($5)
- Doesn't come off easily (i.e. with makeup remover - well the one I use anyway)

Cons:
- not really seeing the false lashes they rave about
- If you don't swipe off excess mascara or clumps - it gets very messy and clumpy

I would give this mascara a 4 out of 5 chickens. Maybe I'll try 4 coats next time! Would I re-purchase, I probably would. But I'd love to try out the other mascara my friend Joy talked about.

A date with Lincoln

I don't remember a single thing about my weekend. Not sure why - it was a total blur!!! The only thing I remember is a date with my son, Lincoln. My husband, Lincoln, and I went to Shane's Rib Shack and went driving around taking Lincoln to the pet store, toy store, and electronic store.

Let me let you in on a secret about Lincoln - he's very loving and affectionate (he loves his hugs/kisses and loves to give them). He's an EXTREMELY friendly toddler (sometimes too friendly to strangers). However, he is very bi-polar (I've come to that conclusion - LOL - no doctors need to tell me that). He's also a cry-baby (the moment we brought him home from the hospital he has been a cry baby about EVERYTHING). He also gets bullied by his younger brother Rhynan and can't stand up for himself. Lincoln is a real wimp and needs to "man-up". I know he's just a 3 year old, but this boy got no guts whatsoever! LOL And lastly, he wants everything to be his way or it's the highway to "cry baby" land!!! >,...,<

But, my husband and I thought it would be really nice for us to spend some 1 on 1 time with Lincoln and get to allow him to have our full attention. So we did, it was really nice to see a calmer Lincoln (still kinda A D D, but calm). He didn't eat much at Shane's (he isn't much of an eater). The food was really good, BUT not for the price we paid! A full rack of ribs = $18 T_T SERIOUSLY!! but anywho, here's pictures of us at Shane's:

Then we went over to Petsmart to look at the animals there. Lincoln was so fascinated by the cats and the hamsters/gerbel/rats. There weren't any puppies - so he was a tad bit sad.

Afterwards, we headed on to Toys R Us. We browsed EVERYTHING Disney's Cars and Disney's Toys Story!!!! He was such a trooper, we'd let him play with it and he'd ask if we could get it for him, but we'd always say "not this time, maybe next time." So he'd put the toy away nicely back where it belonged. LOL He was so cute. We had fun there and I know he did!

And lastly we went to Tiger Direct electronics. We went to check out a laptop for my husband. And that was it. Nothing interesting there LOL

Okay - I super love the NYC Starry Silver Glitter. I love the colors (dark blue and purple with tiny silver glitter). It lasts a long time (like many glittery polishes) and it always adds that extra UMPH when I paint my nails. ^_^ I super duper love it and it's great for Fall and Winter seasons!

I give it a 5/5 Chickens!!! KYAHAHAHA

No Halloween!

Welps - this year - we didn't get to take the kids trick or treating or to even go to a fall festival. I feel bad as a mom, but the good thing is that my kids are NOT well aware of what Halloween is and the GOODIES they could possibly get!!! We ended up going to see the in-laws. I was a bit disappointed b/c it was halloween weekend and I was looking forward to taking my little Yang Monsters AND put my Halloween mini album to use. But I guess there's always next year! ^_^ *teehee*

Let's move on to better news/updates....hahahah I got myself a new rice cooker. WOOHOO!! I'm super excited and stoked!!! My old Tiger rice cooker of 7 yrs has started to make my rice smell along with turning it yellow. The hubs said we should get a new rice cooker and we did!! Rice cookers now a days are so much more high-tech than they were like 7-10 yrs ago!!! We decided on a Zojirushi 10 cup neuro fuzzy rice cooker which looks like this:

Details of the rice cooker are located here. This rice cooker works well and makes 1 cup rice just as good as 5+ cup rice. ^_^ I LOVE MY RICE!!

On Friday, Leng (my hubby) and I went on a double date with our friends Bee and Joy. ^_^ These two are hilarious and super funny. We cracked up allllll night! It was so good to be able to go out without the kids and with some good friend of ours! We went to go eat hotpot (the same place where I went for Fuzkittie's meetup).

After some good hotpot, we went to Suno (pronounced like snow) for dessert!! This was my first time here and OMG!!!! I love the desserts there!!! I'm definitely going back! It's like shaved cream or ice with sweet yummy toppings. Check their site here.

Removing GLITTER!!

Remember my NOTD I posted about a week ago, here? You see ALL of that glitter on my nails?? I love using glitter on my nails, BUT it's a pain to remove glittery nail polishes (even the slightly sparkly/glittery nail polishes). So here's a tip on removing glittery nail polishes.

Step1: Rip cotton balls into 2 pieces until you have enough for each finger nail
Step2: Take some aluminum foil and rip into pieces long enough to wrap around your fingers (you should rip enough for each finger nail)
Step3: Take 1 of the cotton ball halves and add nail polish remover to it
Step4: Place the cotton ball on top of your finger nail
Step5: Wrap your finger and the cotton ball with the aluminum foil (make sure to seal the top)

Your fingers should look like this:

Step6: Leave them on for about a min or 2
Step7: Remove the foil and use the nail polish remover soaked cotton balls to wipe off the nail polish
This is what my nails looked like after doing a quick wipe and only leaving the foil on for about 30 seconds.

Step8: Go back and remove any remaining nail polish

Tadaaaaaa!!! Hassle-free way to remove glittery nail polishes! ^_^ I hope this helped. Sorry if you already knew this tip. T_T

Planners and Halloween NOTD

After reading Kenchanayoh's post about planners I have been on a search for cute planners; just like way back in the day (some 10+ yrs ago) when I had the korean/japanese planners. But I must be looking in the WRONG places, cause I cannot find decent ones that are cute! >_< The only one that I've seen (non-asian) that is cute is this one at borders:

it's actually pretty cute and very functional....but having this planner would make me feel OLD!!! T_T (I'm ONLY a 28 year old mom) LOL So any site recommendations would be nice! ahahah

Fuzkittie Meetup & Giveaway

Hey there beautiful (or handsome for my male readers)! ^_^ Fuzkittie had an Atlanta meetup organized and there were 3 of us there with Fuzkittie. It was really nice to meet her and meeting 2 new Atlantans that I can hang out with! ^_^ I'm really stoked and looking forward to the next time we get together. ^_^ Here's a picture of us:

Here's the earrings I wore to the meetup - I made it Saturday from the same necklace I took apart for my mini album I created here. I used 2 Swarovski moons (Crystal AB and Topaz), 1 Swarovski star (Light Sapphire), 1 Swarovski bicone (Crystal AB), and 2 pearls. The black bicones were already on the necklace. And YES - one side is longer than the other - it's on purpose.

What a week!!!

I'm blessed....blessed to be able to work from home. I definitely am grateful that I don't have to drive 1.5 hrs just to get to work and then drive another 2 hrs to get back home. Yes - THAT long!! Atlanta traffic is TERRIBLE peoples!!! You've got all kinds of drivers here - people with road rage, people who put makeup on, people who are sleepy/tired, people who are reading the newspaper, people who are playing on their phones, people who don't know how to drive, people who are scared to drive, people who think they're racers, people who cut off others, and the list can go on and on and on and on!!!! Atlanta is the 4th city with the highest amount of road ragers!!! That's no shock - I'm probably more shocked that it wasn't #1!!! That's how terrible it is here!!

How's traffic in your area? How far do you have to travel? How long does it take you to get to work?

I'm glad tomorrow is Friday and it'll be the start of the weekend!!! I'm looking forward to my girls night out tomorrow with my sister and friend. We're gonna go watch "Life as We Know It" featuring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. ^_^ What I look MOST forward to is Fuzkittie's meetup on Sunday. I believe we're going to a hot pot restaurant for dinner. ^_^ Maybe 4-5 of us will be there. I'm excited and super glad she moved here to Atlanta!! Anywho's - have an awesome day and weekend!!

A day at the park!

Last week I was off of work and set up a playdate with a friend of mine and her kids. We packed lunches and ate at the pavilion at the park. The kids had fun running around the playground and swinging. It definitely tired them out cause they were KO'd after the park! LOL Here's a few pictures of us:

2NE1's CL Loopy Faux Hawk Inspiration

I should've guessed it!!! My daughter wants to be 2NE1's CL for halloween!!! lol She's a huge 2NE1 fan and the song that started it all was "Lollipop" by Bigbang ft. 2NE1. From there on, she's only wanted to watch 2NE1 MV's. LOL Did I create a 2NE1 monster???!!! Anywho's - with my daughter wanting to be CL and after watching this video:

I tried my hand at CL's loopy faux hawk on my daughter. I didn't use hairspray or tidy'd up the hairdo cause she was about to go to bed. Aeonah also doesn't have bangs like CL - so I didn't do the bangs like CL. HOWEVER, she TOTALLY loved the faux hawk!!! Aeonah was super happy and excited and sang "Can't Nobody" throughout the house. She was so exited to be CL that she went to show off her hair to her daddy and performed for him. -___-" lol

Sephora and Ulta Trip Recap

As you know last week I asked for ideas and expectations for my friend's FIRST trip to Sephora and Ulta (mine too). I got a lot of the same advice, so it was good that the advice was reinforced by other people. ^_^

We left my house around noon and went to sephora and found a few things on my wishlist:

I know - probably the most coveted things. LOL

Afterward, I decided I wanted to figure out my MAC foundation color....the MUA said I was an NC30...but it looked SO YELLOW on me!!! T_T Is it suppose to look REALLY yellow? Even after 30 min of walking around - it still looked yellow on my face....Should I be a shade lighter? Like NC25? Well, I forgot which foundation she used, but I didn't like it cause it felt thick and heavy on my face. I have normal skin and hardly have any breakouts. So I didn't buy it. But I did want these 2 items:

Then, we headed over to Ulta. I wasn't too impressed with Ulta, but I think it's because they were remodeling and moving things around LOL However, I loved that they carried drugstore brands since it's more fitting into my budget LOL I know I'm a cheap bastard!!! You can say it!! I won't get my feelings hurt. LOL ^_^

So I thought we were done, but we ended up going to Dots, CCO, the Dollar store and Ross. What I thought would be a 2-3 hr shopping trip turned into an 8 hr trip!!! o_O OMG I've never ever shopped that long in my life or ever in 1 week!!!! BUT I do have to say it was fun cause my 2 friends are hilarious and ALWAYS fun to be with. All we did was laugh and crack some stupid jokes! Definitely love those 2 girls!! Thanks Joy and Xong for such a fun time and making my experience at Sephora/Ulta GREAT!!! I'M NO LONGER A SEPHORA/ULTA VIRGIN!!!

Oh forgot to mention that it was also my first time eating at Chipotle and it was pretty good. Definitely comparible to Moe's. ^_^

PS Stupid me forgot my camera and didn't even get to take pictures of my adventure!! T_T

Hey - I have decided to start a beginner's tutorial series about scrapbooking. ^_^ These tutorials will be easy, simple, & quick tutorials; something a beginner can watch and do without being overwhelmed. If you have any requests for these beginner series - feel free to ask. The next beginner's series tutorial will show you how to scrapbook a layout (scrapbook page) beginner style. ^_^ In this video - I'll show some of my work that I did about 2 yrs ago. Sephora and Ulta Trip!!

Alright everyone! I need some advice or help. As shocking as it seems - I have NEVER EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE been to Sephora or Ulta...I always pass by it when walking the mall. I don't go in for preventive purposes in doing a makeup haul and making a huge dent in my budget (also the hubs prefers I spend money on scrapbooking than makeup T_T). But I digress - the situation at hand is that my friend wants to go to Sephora and Ulta, but she's never been there herself. She wanted me to go with her as support and a guide. So I laughed at her and told her I've never been there, but we can have a "first timer" experience together LOL So I've I told her I'd get my blogger and YT friends to weigh in on what to expect and what to buy there. She's looking for brushes, eyeshadows, and MAYBE lipsticks. I'm also going to introduce her to eye primers - so let me know which one is your fave primer! ^_^ I think her budget is below $50.

If you're reading this, then I assume that you know I will be sharing about my faith and my church. So here it goes:

I go to a church called 12Stone that exists to inspire life, share life, and give life, because Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10) We continue to reach out to the lost, least, and leaders. Those who are far from God, whether by choice or by not knowing about Christ and the restoration He brings. On Sunday, it was announced that we have been nominated as the NUMBER 1 growing church in the U.S.!!! It was so good to see and hear that our church is impacting our community and those around us; that we are continually giving ourselves away for those who are in need of giving. We are impacting those around us so that they can see the kindness and love of our God. That His mercies are renewed each day - that we get a blank start everyday full of forgiveness. We are here to serve....so much so that we catered to our Starbuck's lovers and have our own Starbuck's coffee shop in our church building; along with free non-Starbuck's coffee made by volunteers. hehehe ^_^

Doing a quick post to do a FOTD inspired by Stephanie's review that was featured on Associated Content. Stephanie is one of my blogger friends who've I've most definitely enjoyed getting to know and gotten to be friends with. Check out her review here.

She reviewed the Maybelline Eyestudio Quads and I have the Taupe Temptress palette. So I decided that I'd use it for my makeup today. I did a more natural look since there's a parent/teacher meeting today for my kids' school.

Online Crop and Dots Haul

Over the weekend I participated in an online crop over at WeScrap. I created a few layouts for their challenges (I did digital and paper layouts):

I also did a small clothing haul over at Dots. I've seen this store before, but I've always thought it was for like pre-teens and such...but my friend said it wasn't and they carried a large size range (2-24 or something). So I went in to check it out and bought a few things. I got 3 tanks, a pair of sweats (not pictured - i thought I took a picture of it), a shirt, and some shoes all for $50. I think that's a decent deals - granted I don't shop for myself much.

The hubby and I went on a date night Friday - I totally enjoyed our time together since we don't get much time for just the 2 of us. We ate at The Atlanta Bread Company and both got paninis. They were very yummy!!! I definitely recommend them!

Magistical Memories and WeScrap

So I finished the layout for the Magistical Memories guest designer challenge. I think the layout turned out well. It's a little on the grungy/vintage style - but I'm okay with that since FALL is coming soon!!! I love fall! Anywho's - here's the layout and detailed pictures:

I embossed and stamped the chipboard letters with some Staz-On white ink. I loved the effect of the ink on the embossed chipboard. It let's the chipboard have a shiny effect on the raised parts and then a more matte finish on the unraised parts. ^_^ I'll do a tutorial soon!

Also WeScrap is having a crop this weekend.

Last but not least, I made a card for a friend who is pregnant. ^_^ YAY for babies!!

First haul video

This is my first haul video ever. If you've already read my post below on my scrapbook haul - you don't have to watch it. ^_^ *teehee*

In the video I mentioned that I was working for a layout. The layout is for the Magistical Memories guest designer. This is the first challenge I'm working on after my 3 month break from scrapbooking. So let's see what I come up with LOL

On a totally different subject - I came home yesterday from playing volleyball and my husband had cooked risotto, eggplant parmasean, garlic bread, and tater tots. The kids and I were so happy!! And he had gone running for about 1 hr prior to coming home. I felt so loved, but NOT ONLY did he do that - he put a vase of sunflowers (my favorite flowers) onto my craft table. OMG I almost cried!!! I am so loved and blessed!

MI Dizon Eyes/Cosmo/Eclipse Circle Lenses Review & KiwiBerry1's Collection

YAY! I got more circle lenses!! I got the MI Dizon Eyes/Cosmo/Eclipse circle lenses in green and the MI Super Angel in brown. I haven't tried the MI Super Angel's lens yet, but once I do - I'll do a review on it too! ^_^

3-day weekend! xtreme pic heavy

I truly enjoyed my weekend - NOT ONLY because it was a 3-day holiday weekend, but also because I did a few things and wasn't exhausted. ^_^

So let's start with Friday! I worked and my boss let us off an hour early - so I got off at 3:30pm. From there, I went straight to pickup my little Yang Monsters. We went to pick up my sister from her house and we headed on over to Michael's (a craft store for those who don't know). Did a small craft haul and I have to apologize ahead of time for the lighting.

Some embossing powder for heat embossing. I loved the finished look b/c it becomes pearlized!!
This is my first time using Stampendous embossing powders and I was very happy with the outcome.

Then I met up the hubby to "transfer" the kiddos over to him in order to hangout with my sister and friend to scrap the night away!! YAY!! It was 5 full hours of scrapping and laughs! This is my first time scrapping from a 3 month hiatus. I just needed to take a break. I haven't scrapped in a while, but it felt good to play with paper and flowers. Now for Saturday, my hubby had to work, so I dropped off my youngest to my parents. My oldest two were going to come with me to my friend's wedding. It was gorgeous (I didn't have any pictures of the wedding!!) ARGH! But I did a photoshoot of my 2 oldest after they got dressed up. Here's a few of my favorites:

After the wedding we went to a farewell party for my uncle. He's going to move to Portland, OR to pastor at a church there. We're all gonna miss him!! Along with my aunt and cousins!

Sunday comes along and we go to church. After church, we went and met up with our friends. It was my friend, her hubby, her twin sisters (who are friends and the same age as my sister), my sister, and my hubby/kids. Us gals were having a sister luncheon and the hubs were doing the hubby thing. heheh We ate at a Mexican restaurant called El Centinela and OMG - it was the BEST mexican food I have ever eaten at! SERIOUSLY!! The flavors were so rich and the customer service was definitely awesome! very nice place and I'm sure to be going there again. ^_^ *thumbs up* And we took a sister picture - here we all are:

After our late lunch we went home and let the kids nap. I got ready for a birthday dinner for my sister in law (still wearing the same thing - was too lazy to doll up). I had tons of fun catching up with some friends I haven't talked to in a while. Pictures!

I know - a super dee duper long post of my crazy weekend!! Sorry - this is Monday - Labor Day weekend! YAY for a day off of work!!! WOOT! We played outside in the front yard and OMG!! I'm so glad we invested in a lawn mower because our lawn mower entertained out kids for almost 2 hrs!!! YES 2 HRS!! They climbed it, jumped from it, wrote on it with leaves, pretended to mow the lawn, pretended to race, and just about everything in-between. My kids are so creative and imaginative! LOL but here's some pictures of the Yang Monsters having fun outside:

After enjoying our 2 hrs outside, we went inside and took naps. Woke up and went over to my brother's house to bbq for Labor Day. It was a really nice dinner and fun times with the fam bam!! ^_^

Cooking

Just a disclaimer - I HATE cooking - I've always hated cooking. I only cook because I have to or else my kids won't have any food and I don't want them to eat a lot of processed foods. So in order to make cooking fun - I have turned to BENTO making. It's my only way of making cooking fun AND cute!! BWAHAHAHAH I'm a sucker for cute! LOL

Soooo - my hubby let me get some onigiri rice molds - but my korean supermarket only had triangle shaped rice molds....T_T I wanted the cute shaped one like hearts, bunny, bears, etc. hehehe but I had to settle for the triangle ones for the time being. I got 2 sizes in 1 package and it was like $3 or something. A child size and an adult size. *teehee* so here are my rice molds. I LOVE THEM!!

I also got some flower shape cutters - the possibilities are endless!! you can cut eggs in this shape, veggies, fruits, etc!!! I'm really excited about using these! ^_^ I got a set of 4 for like $5. A small and large size of a sakura and of a regular flower.

I'm looking forward to having fun with Bento making - I actually started about 1 month ago - so I've been slowly collecting cute bento making equipment! *TEEHEE* I really want the egg molds!!! SO CUTE!

Today I also tried making Dango and Mochi for the first time ever!!! The Dango came out nicely - the mochi - not so nicely LOL The mochi is TOO sweet. I shouldn't have used SWEET bean paste for the mochi. I can't even finish one!!! That's how sweet they are. However, I know my husband will love them b/c he loves sugar!! LOL So here's what they looked like - Dango is normally served on skewers - but I didn't have any skewers.

Cuteness and Boredom

So I was talking about buying cute things just for the heck of it....and the other day - I went to Wally world and spotted my little Bitty Buttons dolls - BUT - my husband says to me, "Look honey - look at these!" so I turn around to face him and OMG!!!!!!!!!! They were super cuteness!!!!

I just totally hovered over these and totally looked like a kid in a candy store! My husband was like, "You can get one." I LOVE HIM!!!! He spoils me....but I resisted the temptation and said no because I was gonna spend some money on some scrapbooking stuff. HAHAHAH Which I'm sure he probably would've let me get too - but I know our budget couldn't afford both. So I sacrificed! ^_^ *YAY pat on the back* LOL

This story also deserves a pat on the back, my kids are into Disney's Cars and we let them all pick 1 little car out, but we always make them put it away before check out - except this time, we forgot to put 1 of the 3 cars away. More like my daughter "forgot" to put her car away. This happened the same night we found those Monster High dolls above. We're checking out and we're putting things on the conveyer belt to pay for and I see my daughter put her car down. And I'm like, "uh honey, she didn't put her car away." So the hubs says, "ah it's okay. The boys won't notice." So now we finally have a girly kinda car in our house...SHE'S SUPER CUTENESS!!! Here she is:

Yup - the Japanese news anchor from Disney's Cars. She even has circle lenses on! LOL jk ^_^ Her eyes are much bigger than the rest of the car characters - it's the anime look they're trying to go for here.

It was a good time at Walmart - it's always fun with my kids. LOL They're crazy kids. I love my little Yangsters! ^_^

1. What is your favorite thing to buy besides makeup?
CUTENESS!!!! I love to buy anything that's cute or books that show me how to make CUTE stuff!!!! it's my weakness! Like these dolls I saw at toys r us like 2 months ago! I want one even if I have ZERO use for it!!

2. What is (are) on your wishlist right now?
TONS of stuff! Too much stuff that should be MINE!! lol Let's see I'll name 5 things.

3. What do you love about Blogger?
I love that through Blogger I've been able to make so many friends around the world and be able to share my obsessions without having to feel like I'm weird. My RL friends are not into ALOT of the things I do....I think i'm the only "cool" one out of the bunch BWAHAHHAHA jk ^_~

4. What is your favorite/most recommended product?
Cetaphil moisturizing cream - I love it b/c it works so well on my skin (especially since I have eczema). Another thing I'd recommend is the ELF kabuki brush - I HEART IT!!!

5. What do you believe in?
I believe in the promises of Christ Jesus. My life is centered in my faith and believing the in promises Christ has given to us. It keeps me level headed and at peace in my most troubled times and at the end of the road - it always ends up alright. ^_^ *thumbs up*

6. Share a beauty secret!
Ugghhhh THIS IS NOT MY FORTE!! I'm just learning these secrets - which I'm sure everyone knows about already too!! so I can't answer this one.

7. What's your favorite sunscreen?
The only I've used is my Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15. I have yet to try different brands so really say what's my fave - this one isn't my fave. I like it - but not WOW!!

8. Where would you like to visit one day?
JAPAN!!! Huge Japanese fan! It all started with Anime, but the culture, lifestyle, and technology there just completely intrigue me. AND EVERYTHING THERE IS CUTE!!! :3

So I got some creating done and they're all for sale!

A while back - I posted about my zebra sock animal thing-majig here. And welps - it's finally finished!! NOT BAD for a first timer ^_^ hehehe This guy is about 7inches (sitting) to 11 inches (standing - he can't stand by himself). I keep calling it a "he" LOL but that's cause he looks like - a boy. BWAHAHAHA If you want him he's $10 (plus s/h - so about $16-$20 depending on where you live). I'll only ship to U.S. or CAN. I think international will be too expensive. So here he is - just chillin' waiting for his new owner:

Next is a layout I made of Ulquiorra from Bleach - I finally framed it up in a 16.5 in x 16.5 in frame. ^_^ This is $25 (plus s/h - so about $31-$35 depending on where you live). Also only to U.S. and CAN.

Oh and I made a crochet version of Naka's knitted bow. I don't know how to knit - and I just kinda know how to crochet. heheheh ^_^ I need more real life friends like Naka!

So Friday - I went to drop off some of the scrapbooking stuff I don't use to my friend's house since she just started scrapbooking and card-making. And right when I get there - she hands me a bag...And I'm like what's this? She says, "Oh just giving you some makeup I don't use or have hardly used. Since you were so kind to give me your scrapbooking stuff you don't use anymore." I started laughing and called her silly cause i wasn't expecting anything in return. I just wanted to get rid of my stuff after cleaning my craft room. But we looked at what she got me and this is what I got from her:

I also used the MAC makeup wipes and welps - they work wonders HOWEVER I don't like the smell....it smells like cleaning chemicals that added a "clean linen sheet" smell to it. But I guess if it works well - I can put up with it til I run out of wipes. ^_^ HAHAHAH

Photo editing and randomness

I gave my blog a little image change hehehe ^_^ I like this template. I did a few modifications to it, but overall - this layout works for me. ^_^

Been busy editing some pictures from our photoshoot. So here's a couple of pictures:

This week I also cleaned out my scrapbook room which is also my work office and my beauty area - unfortunately I have to give it up for my daughter so she can have her own room. She's pretty independent, but still a baby at the age of 4. She still walks into my room in the middle of the night to sleep next to me....not by daddy - but by mommy. same thing with my boys - they'll walk in the middle of the night and they always fight over me LOL My poor hubby - having to share mommy with his 3 Yangsters.

Also this weekend my husband's sister and her family are coming over. It's going to be great b/c we only see them once a year and this year is a treat - we're seeing them twice this year. Their eldest son is going to a christian college down here in GA. They're from WI.

Super Fun filled weekend and Twinkle!

I was looking forward to this past weekend. My besties and I did a photoshoot to celebrate my sister's birthday. We also did a potluck and just caught up on each other's lives. ^_^ It was fun and totally new for us (photoshoot). Here's a few pictures Boon posted on his site.

I think he did great and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures! ^_^ Boon was awesome and made this experience totally fun with a relaxed atmosphere! Definitely using him again to do some family pictures! ^_^

Here's us after the photoshoot GRUBBIN' on some yummy red asian seasoned pork ribs, steamed rice, fried chicken, salad, fried green beans/beef, and crab ragoon! DELISH!!! My sister also mixed some drinks - strawberry daquiri and apple martini. YUMMERS!!

I also bought me a new liptstick - I just couldn't resist!!! SERIOUSLY! Too cute! I got the Maybelline Twinkle (shade 705). It's super cute and dainty!

And this is what it looks like on my lips - ME LIKEY!

It goes on smoothly and it's on the sheer side - not very pigmented - but I like it that way - gives my lips a pink tone - but nothing too thick or noticeable. ^_^

And one more item to add to this post is that my little monsters went back to school today and it was PERFECT! They went to school and came back excited! So that makes me a happy MAMA!! ^_^

Neutrogena oil-free moisture and E.L.F. Green Tea Shine Eraser Review

It's Friday - and I AM SO HAPPY IT'S FRIDAY!! Nothing is happening BUT glad it's Friday. Been a long long week for me! HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU!

So yesterday hubby and I went to go catch inception while my sister babysat my little monsters. Inception was a very good movie and lived up to the hype that everyone talked about. There was action and a good story line that kept you holding on to find out what happens next. So definitely 5/5 chickens for that movie! ^_^

Moving on to the review - for about 2 months now I have been using the Neutrogena oil-free Moisture w/ SPF 15.

I can't say that I love it, but I do like it as it does what it says it's going to do. It keeps my face hydrated (not so much smooth). I like that it applies nice and thin. I don't feel like I'm caking something on my face at all. So that's a plus. I have pretty good skin - I will break out with a zit or two once in a blue moon. My face is not too dry and not too oily either. I really don't use a whole mess of products - my daily routine is to wash my face in the morning when I shower, then put on some moisturizer and I'm good for the rest of the day. ^_^ I don't have anything to compare this product to as this is my first using moisturizer. Do you have any recommendations? I'd really appreciate it! I give it a 3.5/5 chickens

Next is the E.L.F. Green Tea shine eraser.

This one was a disappointment - but for the price I guess it was okay. LOL I mean c'mon this thing was $1!!! ^_^ HAHAHHA That's probably the only pro. *teehee* You get 50 sheets and the product is suppose to absorb oil and shine, mattifies shiny skin, pore minimizer, keep skin-matte for hours, and help re-texturize skin (masking facial imperfections). I have to use 2-3 sheets to help matify my face when it does get oily/sweaty from stepping outside really quick (really quick as in less than a min to get my mail). It also DOES NOT minimize my pores and keep my skin matte for hours. It also left my fingers oily after using it. Sometimes the sheet would tear when trying to take one out (it might just be cause i'm clumsy and got chubby fingers). This gets a 2/5 chickens rating....I know not that many chickens. For those who have had good experiences with this product - let me know - am I doing something wrong/different?

Oh and in comparison to the Clean & Clear absorbing sheets - I'd definitely would recommend the C&C absorbing sheets. I've used it before and loved them - 1 sheet would work and it wouldn't leave my fingers oily. It also kept my face mattified longer.

Anywho's - that's it for my post - hope the review was helpful (even though it wasn't very detailed). ^_~ *forgive me*

Back to School

Welps - this is the last week for my little darlings before they go back to school Monday. I'm excited b/c now I will be home by myself and be able to get work done without interruptions or babies crying in the background. During the summer I had my cousin babysit them while I work. I love working from home, just not when there's kids in the background. I'll be happy to be without them at home while I work, but that's good b/c when they get home from school - it'll be busy, crazy, and loud. heheh ^_^ Welps - here's a picture of my darlings with their Toy Story stuffed toys.

My first photoshoot. My girlfriends and I are doing a fun casual photoshoot for my sister's birthday. We're all stoked and looking forward to it! We're gonna go downtown and take pictures there. Do you guys have any tips? Clothing type? COOLNESS poses? BWAHAHHA jk

My first video review and written review - SOOOOO - I'd really appreciate constructive criticism and not comments like "YOUR REVIEW SUCKS!" LOL What can I do to improve? Wowie!!! Little do you know TONS of craziness has been happening in my life in just 2 months!!! I seriously thought about leaving the blogging world - but dang it - i miss y'all too much! HAHAHAH

Anywho's - let's do a quick summary of what's been going on - I stopped scrappin' (maybe taking a long term break) - my mother in law passed away the week before mother's day, my grandmother passed away the week after mother's day (the mothers of the 2 most important men in my life passed away - just craziness and sad), my husband's 1st cousin's husband passed away the week before father's day, and a close friend of ours passed away about a month ago. SEE!! just total craziness!!

Also, my 2 sons had their birthdays in June and July - so good things happened too. ^_^

I had to take a break from this hurricane of life that's come through my life and just re-focus and get things back in order. So now i'm back and ready to re-connect with my bloggies.

Tomorrow, I'll be posting a circle lens review I just got from KiwiBerry1's Collection. ^_^

E.L.F. haul and misc shinanigans

Alright!! did a big E.L.F. haul! All going towards a swap i'm doing with a friend in NC (my cousin's gf), personal wants, and GIVEAWAY items (yes a giveaway - so be on the lookout).

Okay - so moving on to the nothingness in my life - for the past week 1/2 the hubby and I have been playing Borderlands.

It's a first person shooter game RPG style. And it's multiplayer - so you can play online or with a buddy at home. ^_^ I think we're nearing the end of the game. It's a very fun game and it has an expansion pack (i think 2 actually). I've never played first person shooter games before - so I'm enjoying it and learned new gaming skills!!! BWAHHAHAHA Alright! LEVEL UP!!! but anywho's - hubby and i are debating if we wanna buy the expansion packs. We'll see

Oh, I'm also working on making this zebra here:

Except mine is black - not red. So far I've got the head done - just the shaping of it. gotta do the body and sew on eyes/nose. WISH ME LUCK!!! this is my first time making a sock animal!!!! I do wanna try the piggies too! when I have time or make time - and finish the zebra guy! LOL ^_^

Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA)

So I have been wanting to go to AWA for a long long long long time now! But something ALWAYS seems to come up and I end up not going. SOOOO this year - i'm going to make a point TO GO!!!! *RAWR*

I know hubby wants to go to and my sister and her hubby too. As well as a few friends (who i am not gonna bother asking b/c they say yeah let's go - but back out at the end). I was looking for some chibi anime characters to do a scrapbook page with for a contest I'm entering. I was looking and got side tracked because I found this blog that was FULL of cosplay!!!! I WAS SOOOO INSPIRED!!! lol Click here.

But now I'm thinking - would I even cosplay???!!! LOL this would be my first time and DANG IT I'd be putting the anime character to shame!!! UGH!!! But we'll see - i'll have to pick a somewhat heavier set girl since I'm on the heavier side of life. SERIOUSLY!! (why do you think you only see headshots of me!!!) BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Doing a quick post before my weekend consumes me. Preparing for my daughter's 4th bday - tomorrow starts bright and early as I go register her for pre-k and then straight to my women's small group and then shopping for other things and pick up the bday cake. This is what her bday cake will look like:

Although her theme is Kai-Lan - our bakery didn't have any Kai-Lan themed cakes - so we went with her next favorite - TINKERBELL & Friends!! $50 for this sucker! I know it's gonna be GOOD too!!

Today I did the whole braiding of the bangs thing - does anyone know what it's called?!?? But it turned out MESSY b/c my bangs are way short T_T but still had a nice look. So I'm planning to do this once my bangs are longer. ^_^ Here's a few pictures (excuse the big forehead):

Turned out okay - but wishin' my bangs were longer. ^_^ welps that's it - will post again sometime next week cause I have a busy weekend!

I need your thoughts and opinions....it's nothing very important at all what I'm about to ask you...just wanted to know what you all thought.

So I just got my circle lenses from Ulzzang Style. I got the BT Aqua. They look like this:

I like the color and so I was very very excited!!! So I cleaned them and put them on. I didn't like them on me - well they look okay - maybe it's b/c im not used to seeing such a bright color for my eyes...but my question is:

"What do you think? Do they look okay? Too bright? I shouldn't have gotten them?"

Let me know - maybe it's just a matter of me getting used to them...don't get me wrong I like them - but not as much as I thought I would have liked them.

1. I'm Hmong, but I don't speak or write the language. I can understand it and I am not teaching it to my kids b/c I'm THAT terrible with my native language.
2. I was born in France - thus the reason why I don't know Hmong well b/c my parents only spoke to us in French AND yes - I still speak French - but it's broken French.
3. I have eczema on my right hand - it sucks b/c my kids had it too and I felt terrible for them. Eczema SUCKS!!!
4. I go to a wonderful church called 12Stone - it's kind of a "mega" church - but the church gives you an opportunity to connect and meet new people in so many different venues so you can build great friendships.
5. I work from home - it's such a great thing especially b/c it takes 1 hr one way to get to the office and 1.5 to 2 hrs to get back home - ATLANTA TRAFFIC IS THE WORST!!
6. My ultimate dream is to be a stay at home mom so that I can truly focus on nurturing my kids so that they become Godly, passionate, and goal oriented adults - b/c that's what they're going to be - adults not children.
7. I love love love anime/mangas - LOL as if I haven't stressed that enough yet.
8. I used to play mmorpg's (WoW aka world of warcraft and FFXI) - I also play other video games - such as Street Fighter - Borderlands and stuff hehehe love RPG games!
9. I love my husband and I am learning to respect him more and more as we continue on this journey called marriage. ^_^ He's so wonderful!

This coming Sunday (Feb 28th) will be my 6 year anniversary with my hubby. Can't believe that it's already been 6 years. In those 6 years - we've grown to love and understand each other more. We've become extremely patient. We've also matured and have become different people than who we were when we first got married. It's okay to change in a marriage (for those who ask themselves "this is not the person I married!") - that person you married will change b/c life happens and we learn from our experiences (sometimes we DON'T learn from those experiences).

We have also owned a home for 5 years and have 3 beautiful darling babies who have taught us to be EVEN more patient and loving.

I have to say that I am truly blessed to have married my husband. I don't think anyone else would've married me b/c I'm very IMPATIENT and quick to anger. yes yes - "hard to believe" but it's true!!!

We decided not to get gifts for each other and so I played in photoshop and made this for him LOL He really loves my duckbill and makes fun of me when I make a duckbill angry face *rawrrr*

I'm looking forward to the rest of my life with him and learning to respect and love him more. ^_^

So I'm not sure what's going on with me - but I feel like my brain is out of place. I feel unorganized and that I've missed doing a lot of things I was supposed to do.

I haven't scrapped in 4 wks (since Rhynan got sick). I feel like I don't have enough time for anything and I feel exhausted by the end of the day. AND NO I'm not pregnant!! LOL Just wanted to clarify that for all of you who thought about that. ^_~

Maybe I need to get myself back on schedule BEFORE Rhynan got sick. Maybe the hospital traumatized me too! LOL Maybe I'm just not managing my time well. o_O THAT'S NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!

We're home YAY!!! So happy me!!! Got some laundry done, got the kids to nap, and taking a few min to relax. Basically, my son is not FULLY recovered, but well enough to be home. He'll be on motrin around the clock for the next 48hrs. His blood work came back better than yesterday and he didn't run a fever last night. So it's all good news. They also gave us some lortab (pain killer) if the motrin is not assisting with the pain. Motrin will take care of the inflammation. I have to do a follow-up with my son's regular pediatrician a couple of days. hopefully all will go well and he will recover nice and easy. I CANNOT THANK everyone of you for thinking of us and praying for us. I am truly thankful for all of the love sent to us! *hugs*

Okay - as promised pictures of things I did or got.

1. Swap with my dear friend Naka. I had tons of fun with this one and she gave me TONS of goodies!!! Chocolate too - but it has "MYSTERIOUSLY" disappeared. o_O yum yum! I got some LARGE bows that I can put on my headband and wear - TOTALLY CUTE! She also gave me a grape charm, some scrappy stuff, a handbag, a super cute box, and a super sweet note with a bow on it! She handmade the bows and handbag - FOR SURE go see her creative sewing self!!!! She's totally awesome!

2. My earred hat - didn't come out as good as I wanted it - but this is my 2nd try at it. Made from felt:

At first - they were bothering me - but that's b/c I've never worn contacts ever in my life. So this was a change. But now that I've worn them 2 days in a row - they don't bother me anymore.

Okay - been gone for a week now - my son (Rhynan - the one i posted about with the terrible eyes) is in the hospital. He's been there since Sunday. UGH! It JUST SOOOOOO HAPPENS that the bacteria in his eyes have spread to his hips and is hurting him. he's just in pain and needs them to be better. Hopefully we're going home tomorrow. but we'll see. So keep him in your prayers! Thank you my wonderful friends! You just don't know how much I appreciate everyone of you.

Haven't posted one of these in a while - so here's the FOTD:

ALL done with the Rock Candy goodies I got yesterday at Wally World. LOL ^_^ I got the Rebel eyeshadow palette and the Pond eye for an eye eyeliner. I love the colors!! (sorry for the poor quality and color of the goodies)

Also - this is the FIRST time wearing falsies and i don't like it. LOL I went with cheapy ones since I was just testing out falsies....Also doesn't look very natural - too long for my taste...but maybe it's just me. o_O Any tips/tricks/suggestions??? I'd love to hear!

It's still pinkish around the eyes, but other than that - he's definitely recovering well. ALTHOUGH - the bad side effect is that he's now super duper whiny and he never was before T_T lol

Hubby and I had an arguement (which for the life of me - i cannot remember - OBVIOUSLY it was probably something tedious and UNIMPORTANT - i guess it was a small bickering). I heart anime and mangas!!! been reading tons of mangas (mainly romance - love manga romances). Been trying to catch up on FMA: the brotherhood. *nods* yup yup - i HEART FMA!!!!! I'll say this again - if I could live an OTAKU life - I'd for sure live one! BWAAHAHHA

So this last page in the recent Bleach manga chapter totally made my heart skip and gave me goosebumps (sorry for those who have no understanding of my fanatic passion for anime/mangas) - (this is read from right to left):

So my youngest son normally has styes (bacterial infection of the pores in the eye lids) And he'd look like this (see the red bump on his left eye):

BUT for a week now - he's been lookin' like this:

We went to the hospital yesterday and the dr's couldn't figure out what he had!! They said he's a rare case and that they've never seen anything like it!! T_T So now - we're going to the dermatologist today and see if he can figure it out. I hope he can. I just want my baby to get better and look like this again:

**UPDATE**
Just got back from the dermatologist and he says it was "Staph conjunctivitis". Staph is the bacteria that lives in styes (which my son gets) and it spread all over his eyes and cause inflammation of the eyes. T_T So we're on a new oral antibiotic and I have to go pick up an ointment for his eyes to keep the skin around his eyes moist to prevent the cracking and bleeding of his skin. No discoloration or scarring will occur!! so i'm a happy camper. They want me to follow up with all 3 dr's tomorrow and also a week from today...I loved these physicians - they took good care of us and my darling monkey.

YAY!! I got some yummo mail today!!! Meme sent me goody mail! i was super happy - totally didn't expect it to get here today!! SO HAPPY ME!!!!!!!!! Thank you sooo super much girlfriend!!! So what did she get me? Some of her handmade hair pins (THOSE FLOWERS ARE GORGEOUS!) Some Japanese candy (ALL GONE!!) and a cute cute card!

Been Busy and Feelin' Better

Yup - that's how was yesterday. ^_^ I'm all better and so are my 2 older babies. BAD thing is my youngest is sick and my hubby caught what I had - which I think was the stomach bug...YUCKO!!! Even though he's feelin' terrible, he still went in to work. My hubby ROCKS! ^_^

UGH: SICK SICK SICK!!

I'm sick - feelin' sick like I dunno what!! At first it was the feeling of vomiting, then I get chills and body aches!!!! Took some flu meds and that hardly helped - I even took a 3.5 hour nap today!!! I still feel sick! BUT that didn't stop me from making some earrings for Spider Lily. I'm also gonna go create some tags and stuff. hehehe ^_^ Anywho's - a post is boring if there's no pictures - sooooo here's a totally random picture of my niece and sister in law during halloween 2009. My chubby niece was Dr. Seuss' character "Thing 2". Ain't she chubby and cute?!!

A Piece of Me January 2010

It's that time of the month again!! Noooo not that monthly girl thing!! eheheh it's the "A Piece of Me" game hosted by Notes from the Toothfairy. You can always jump in the game if you want to. would love to learn more about ya!! So here goes:

I like: that I'll be opening my store "Spider Lily" on my birthday (20th of Jan)

I don't like: that my babies are sick AGAIN!

I want you to know: that dwelling on negativity will only bring MORE negativity. So don't be sad and smile. Just keep moving forward! ^_^

I've planned: to lose weight this year. A good 40-50 lbs!!! I'm for sure a heavy sided type of gal!

I want to say to someone special: Grandma, even though we're far away from you, we're thinking and praying for you.
